A professional knife sharpening job proceeds from coarse grinding to ever-finer grinding at tightly controlled angles. This manual three-stage knife sharpener consists of three ceramic wheels of varying grit levels. The wheels feature slots that angle the knife for precise sharpening. To use the sharpener, simply fill the basin with water, and a few strokes of a knife blade along each wheel sharpens the edge on both sides at once. Use the extra-coarse wheel to prepare really dull or damaged blades; continue the sharpening process using the medium wheel, and finish with the fine wheel to bring blades back to like-new condition.
